STARS REACT ON TWITTER TO BOTH DEATHS
UNDATED (AP) — Ellen DeGeneres was one of several stars who expressed feelings on Twitter about the back-to-back deaths yesterday of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. She says "So sad to hear about Michael Jackson. His music changed our lives. The world has lost an amazing singer and dancer." Here's Paris Hilton: "...horrible news about Farrah Fawcett. So sad. breaks my heart." And, Hilton says she's "devastated" about Michael Jackson. Miley Cyrus writes: "Michael Jackson was my inspiration. Love and blessings." Tweets of condolence also from Greg Grunberg, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore and many others.
BRUNO PREVENTS ACCESS TO MICHAEL JACKSON'S STAR
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bruno, in all his flaming glory, was the reason fans couldn't get to Michael Jackson's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Bruno also was the reason the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce couldn't access the star to place flowers on it. Part of Hollywood Boulevard and the sidewalk of stars were blocked off for the premiere of Sacha Baron Cohen's movie, "Bruno" at the Chinese Theater. It'll be cleared up by the morning when the Chamber finally will be able to place flowers on Jackson's star.
FARRAH FAWCETT REACT - CANDY SPELLING
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Candy Spelling thought Farrah Fawcett "was fabulous" when her husband, producer Aaron Spelling, told her he'd hired Fawcett to be one of "Charlie's Angels." Candy Spelling says Fawcett "had a great look about her. Totally different from the other girls: very outdoorsy." Spelling says Fawcett was "a great tennis player and very sportsy," as she calls it. And, she says she was "a beautiful, beautiful girl."
''AMERICAN IDOL" RETURNS MONDAY TO HONOR MICHAEL JACKSON AND KICK OFF TOUR
LOS ANGELES (AP) — It just so happened that earlier this year, there was an edition of "American Idol" devoted to the songs of Michael Jackson. Fox is going to replay it this Monday night. It's a two-hour episode that features the top-13 singers. Fox says they're showing it again to "honor the memory and celebrate the life of Michael Jackson." It's also a good way to pump up the tour, which starts July 5 and features the top-10 Idol contestants.
''TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN" - MICHAEL BAY
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The director of the new "Transformers" movie doesn't think he uses Megan Fox as a sex object in the "Transformers" movies. The first time we see Fox in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," she's wearing short-shorts and a skimpy top, bending over a motorcycle detailing it with paint. Director Michael Bays "we got that first shot out of the way" for "the young boys" so they could move on. He says "the rest of the movie with her is not about sexy."
