RUMMAGE & BAKE SALE  

A rummage and bake sale will be held at the Star of the Sea Auditorium at 14th & Grand in Astoria. The event is Saturday March 25th and Sunday March 26th. New and used clothing, household items, toys and more will be featured. If you would like to donate items, you can drop them off between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM beginning Wednesday the 22nd.

FOOD BANK FUNDRAISER

The Peninsula Senior Center in Ocean Park is hosting an Italian Buffet Dinner on Wednesday, March 29th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The cost is $10 and the proceeds go to benefit the Food Bank.

NORTH COAST BIG BAND BENEFIT

The North Coast Big Band is doing a benefit show for Clatsop Community College’s Performing Arts Center. The show will be at that venue on Sunday, April 2nd at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door. Doors will open at 1:30 PM.

BREAKFAST WITH THE EASTER BUNNY

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Warrenton Community Center 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 8th. All-U-Can-Eat Pancakes plus sausage, eggs and a beverage. There will be gift basket raffles. Age 12 and up $5, kids 6 to 11 $3, kids 5 and under pay just $1. All proceeds go to support the Warrenton Community Center.

CHILDHOOD SCREENING FAIR

The Clatsop County Early Childhood Health & Education Screening Fair is Tuesday, April 18th at the Seaside Convention Center from 9:00-3:00pm, for children ages 2 to 5. This free Fair provides parents and guardians information about their child’s development. Early childhood and medical professionals will conduct screenings. Registration requested before April 11th so materials can be mailed and completed before attending. Appointments can be made by calling any public elementary school or Head Start center.

COLOR ME GREEN 5K RUN/WALK

April 23rd, the Clatsop County 4-H program hosts Color Me Green 5K Run/Walk at Fort Stevens State Park in Warrenton. The Color Me Green 5K Run/Walk is a five kilometer (3.1 miles) run or walk designed to encourage youth and community members to increase their physical activity while also having fun! During the run/walk, participants are showered with green dye as they pass through each marker point.

“DAM BEAVER DAM!” AT THE SEASIDE LIBRARY 

In the first of several beaver-appreciation events in Seaside, join scientist Kate Holleran at the Seaside Public Library on Wednesday, April 19, at 6 PM for an evening exploring how to encourage beavers to return to our communities—and how to live with the results. “Dam, Beaver! Dam!” is the fourth of five wildlife-themed Listening to the Land presentations this year. Admission is free.

COAST COLOR DASH FUNDRAISER

The Coast Color Dash 3K/5K Fun Run is coming to Gearhart! Gearhart Elementary School, Seaside Heights Elementary and Broadway Middle School parent teacher organizations are hosting a Coast Color Dash Fundraiser on Sunday, April 30th.
