SEASIDE BUSINESS AFTER HOURS 

Seaside Business After Hours is Thursday February 16th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Clatsop Community College’s South County Campus on the 2nd floor. It will be hosted by The Astoria Sunday Market and the Biz Kidz.

SEASIDE LIBRARY WELCOMES A “FISHY” AUTHOR

On Thursday, Feb. 16th, The Friends of the Seaside Library host Jennifer Burns Bright author of “Fish Tales: Traditions and Challenges of Seafood in Oregon” at 7:00 PM. The event is part of Oregon Humanities’ statewide Conversation Project. Jennifer is a food and travel writer based in Port Orford, Oregon. 

HISTORICAL SOCIETY CASINO NIGHT  

Clatsop County Historical Society’s annual Roaring 20’s Speakeasy Casino Night is Saturday February 18th at 7:00 PM in the Heritage Museum in Astoria. Games include Black Jack, Roulette, Craps, and Texas Hold em poker. Prizes for top chip holders and best 1920s costume at the end of the night. Entry is $15 for an individual or just $25 for a couple. CLATSOP COUNTY JOB & CAREER FAIR 

CEDR and WorkSource Northwest Oregon are present the third annual Clatsop County Job & Career Fair, Wednesday, February 22nd, from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm, at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. The format has been enhanced this year to include adult job seekers in the afternoon.  Astoria, Jewell, Knappa, Seaside and Warrenton High Schools will be sending all Juniors & Seniors in the morning, and will be finished by 1:30 pm. At 2:00 pm the doors will re-open for adult job seekers.

CLATSOP COUNTY LIBRARIES FUNDRAISER

The Libraries Reading Outreach in Clatsop County program will hold its 2nd Annual Fundraiser on March 23rd at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center. Ticket price includes light desserts, refreshments, silent and live auction. The Funds raised helps support the Outreach Program’s three objectives… provide a library card for every child in the county, an annual countywide summer reading program, and courier services to assist children in returning their materials.
