On January 8th, deputies with the Pacific County Drug Task Force served a narcotics related search warrant upon a residence located in the 600 block of Plum Street in Raymond. Also assisting with the service of the warrant were deputies with the Pacific County Sheriff's Office and officers from the Raymond and South Bend police departments. A male subject, identified as Kenneth J. Taylor (age 51) was arrested in conjunction with the investigation that led to the request for the search warrant.

The search warrant was granted as a result of information developed by an alert and concerned Raymond Police officer during the course of his normal duties. The officer had arrested a juvenile female on an outstanding warrant and had learned that she had been provided methamphetamine by Kenneth Taylor. The officer subsequently contacted the Pacific County Drug Task Force for assistance. During the searching and arresting process, investigators located a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and drug related paraphernalia.

Kenneth Taylor was booked into the Pacific County Jail on one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and one count of distributing narcotics to a person under the age of 18. Taylor's bail was set at 250,000.00
