Oregon State Police say four adults and two children were injured and State Highway 30 was temporarily closed about 10 miles east of Astoria after a head-on crash.

Lt. Gregg Hastings says preliminary information indicates on December 19, 2013 at approximately 4:10 p.m., a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by a 70-year old female was westbound on Highway 30 near milepost 85 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2003 Volvo four-door occupied by three adults and 2 children.

The pickup driver was ejected and seriously injured. She was flown to a Portland hospital.  Hastings says the car's 24-year-old male driver was also seriously hurt. The other two adults and the children received minor injuries.

Traffic was detoured around the crash.
