Friday night, the Astoria High School Athletic Department is honoring current and former Astoria District Staff Members as part of Faculty & Staff Night sponsored by Van Dusen Beverages.  All current and former staff members (teachers, custodians, mechanics, bus drivers, instructional aides, librarians, and all district employees) are invited to attend Friday's home football game vs. W.F. West (Chehalis, WA).  Kickoff is set for 7:00 P.M.  Doors open to the general public at 6:00 P.M. but the west gate (by the locker rooms) will be open at 5:30 P.M. for a pre-game celebration for all current and former staff members.

Van Dusen's sponsorship along with twenty local business donations are leading the way to allow us to recognize our local heroes that have dedicated their lives to working with the kids and families of our community.  Tents will be set on the John Warren Stadium / Gyro Field practice area in order to serve hors d'oeuvres and beverages for this pre-game celebration.  Special seating will be reserved in the Grandstand for these honored guests.  No reservations are required.  We look forward to celebrating our past and current educators and staff members and we are grateful to Van Dusen Beverages for their sponsorship and to our twenty local businesses that have made "in-kind" donations to allow us to host this event.

Help raise funds for AHS Athletics:

This Saturday, 9/21, is Dane Gouge's & Astoria Ford's annual "DRIVE 1 4 UR SCHOOL".  Dane & Astoria Ford along with the Ford Motor Company have donated over $30,000.00 by way of this fundraiser.  Simply stop by Astoria Ford onSaturday, 9/21, between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. and test drive a new ford.  By doing so, Ford Motor Co. and Astoria Ford will donate $20.00 to AHS Athletics for this test drive.  Maximum number of test drives is 300.  Please help us reach our goal of raising $6000.00 by taking a test drive this Saturday.  This fundraiser is part of senior football captain Jander Pineda's senior project.  Again, all proceeds benefit AHS Athletics.
