Crews will be doing some additional work in the area of Ensign Lane over the next two days and work continues on the big sewer project in Astoria. Old Hwy 101 Business will have traffic control with intermittent short stoppages to allow for tree removal. SE 19th has two utility cuts and heavy truck entering and exiting the Project site. Please slow down and watch for loose rock. Loucas Lane will be closed to through traffic on Monday July 1st from 7:30am – 5:00pm. Traffic detours will continue on Tuesday July 2nd & Wednesday July 3rd.  County crews will finish Chip Seal Operations on the following roads:

Monday – Lower Nehalem River Road
Tuesday- Sjoli Lane from the beginning to Park.

In dowtown Astoria work continues this week on the 11th street CSO sewer projects. The contractor, Tapani, will be installing permanent striping at the intersection of 8th St and Commercial on Monday. Eastbound traffic will detour south onto 7th St and then back onto Commercial.

Construction will continue on 8th St between Duane and Franklin. The first lift of pavement was installed on 8th St from Commercial to the south side of Duane. This area will be open to traffic on Tuesday. Sewer and storm pipe will be installed between Exchange and Franklin.

On 10th St and 11th St, the storm pipe installation is essentially finished, so work on curbs and intersection corner ramps will continue. The waterline will be replaced on 11th St between Franklin and Grand.
