The state of Oregon Construction Contractor Board will be in Seaside June 27th to offer two different programs. One is intended for current contractors and the other offers the opportunity for aspiring construction contractors to learn about the state requirements.
The meetings are hosted by Clatsop Economic Development Resources(CEDR) and will be held a the south county center for Clatsop Community College at 1455 North Roosevelt, rooom 2/3. First, at 9:30am, there will be a stakeholder meeting to discuss various aspects of working with the CCB with the opportunity to offer comment and current regulation and future regulation changes. The meeting is to be townhall style and the genral public is also invited to attend. This is one of a series of public meetings planned by the CCB throughout the state top gather input and determine ways in which the board might serve it's stakeholders more effectively. Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm, the CCB staff will hold an informational meeting for those wanting to get into the construction contracting business with an approach that promises to un-complicate the process of becoming a licenced contractor with an overview of the program, the opportunity to talk with staff about the regulations and the paperwork and help filling out the necessary forms. Both meetings are set for the Clatsop Community College South County Center in Seaside.
