The male subject shot and killed in an apartment at 336 S. Main Ave. on May 7, 2013 was positively identified as 39-year old Bruce Ross Rogers of Astoria. Rogers was shot and killed after he illegally entered the residence of his estranged wife.

Rogers was the only person injured during the incident. The Clatsop County Major Crime Team continues to investigate the incident. No one has been arrested or is in custody at this time. All involved subjects are cooperating with the crime team's investigation.

 

 

As part of the investigation the Major Crime Team is attempting to locate Roger's vehicle. It is described as a black, 1988, Toyota, pickup, bearing Oregon license plate SL35403. The pickup has gray or silver stripes and is reported to have damage on the passenger's rear quarter panel.  If you spoke to Rogers on the morning of May 7th or if you see the vehicle please call the WPD at 503-861-2235.
