An investigation by the Clatsop County Interagency Narcotics Team (CCINT) has led to the arrest of 39-year-old Daniel Leroy Washam of Cannon Beach.  The investigation began when CCINT detectives learned Washam was a large methamphetamine dealer that supplied much of the Seaside and Cannon Beach area.  

As the investigation continued, CCINT detectives were granted search warrants for Washam and his vehicle. On Thursday Detectives, along with a member of the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, located Washam, took him into custody and executed the search warrants. During the search of Washam's vehicle a CCINT Detective located a significant amount of methamphetamine that was pre-packaged for sale, pre-packaged marijuana, multiple digital scales, drug packaging material, manufacturing material, drug paraphernalia and drug transaction records.

Washam was arrested on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.  Washam was transported to the Clatsop County Jail.
