The Washington State Patrol says a man was struck and critically injured Tuesday night while walking across Highway 103 in Long Beach.  The patrol says 27-year-old Justin Lee Woods was flown to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland.

According to the report Woods was in the process of crossing the highway when for some reason he stopped somewhere in the middle and turned back. He was then hit by a car driven by  56-year-old Richard Greer of Portland. Greer was not injured. Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor and no

charges have been filed as yet but Woods actions are under investigation.
