Clatsop County's seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate was 7.4 percent in
February , essentially the same as the previous
month (7.5%) and the year before (7.5%). It
was lower than the statewide rate (8.4%) and
about the same as the national rate (7.7%).
Total employment in the county decreased by
120 from the previous month to 18,012. The
estimated number of unemployed people fell by
89 to 1,672. The number of unemployed this
February was 125 fewer than one year before
and 292 fewer people were employed, yielding
a total drop in the labor force of 417.

Tillamook County's seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate was 7.9 percent in
February, essentially the same as the previous
month (8.0%) and the year before (8.0%). It
was a little lower than the statewide rate
(8.4%), and about the same as the national
rate (7.7%). Total employment in the county
fell by 43 from the previous month to 11,117
and the estimated number of people
unemployed dropped by 98 to 1,074.
Compared with one year before, total
employment dipped by 19 and 156 fewer
people were unemployed, yielding a total
decrease in the labor force of 175.

Columbia County's seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate was 9.2 percent in
February, unchanged from the previous
month (9.2%) and the year before (9.4%).
The rate was higher than the statewide
rate (8.4%) and the national rate (7.7%).
Total employment grew by 127 to 21,639
and the number of unemployed people
dropped by 87 to 2,377. Total
employment this February was 166 less
than one year before and there were 226
fewer people unemployed this year,
yielding a total drop in the labor force of
392.
