Marcus Foster, age 50, entered two pleas of aggravated murder in connection with the May 3, 2012 murders of Laura Foster and Guy Phillips at the victim's home in Seaside.

Appearing before Marion County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Hart, Foster entered a guilty plea to each murder with the agreement that he will receive life sentences in each case with 30 year minimum sentences that will run consecutively, or one after the other. He will not be eligible for parole until the year 2072.

The prosecution was led by Chief Deputy DA Ron Brown assisted by Deputy DA Steve Chamberlin.  Brown explained that he had been in regular touch with both victims' families, some of whom may speak at the sentencing which will occur on Monday, April 22nd at 1:30 pm.  A plea saves the expense and uncertainty of a trial and what often seem like endless appeals.  Foster was represented by Chris Burris and Kris Kaino.
