Finance Director Mike Robison has stepped down after 17 years with Clatsop County. Robison is taking another position outside the county. His last day was Friday, March 8.
Robison directed the Central Services Department, which oversees the county's budgeting and finances, information technology and building and grounds services. In 2010 he also assumed direction for the Assessment and Taxation Department following the retirement of former Assessor Betsy Moes.
The county is initiating a search for a new finance director. In the interim, Assistant Finance Director Monica Steele will oversee Central Service's finance duties, Property Appraisal Supervisor Mike Grant will take charge of the Assessment and Taxation Department, Public Works Director Ed Wegner will oversee building and grounds services, and the County Manager's Office will manage Information Services.
