Geologic hazards coordinator Dr. Althea Rizzo and other state agency experts will be providing free preparedness workshops concerning tsunamis and earthquakes in three North Coast locations beginning Monday night.

The schedule includes: Monday March 11th at the Seaside Broadway Middle School library from 7-8:30pm, Tuesday March 12th at the Astoria Library from 5:30 to 7pm, and on Thursday March 14th at the Neah-Kah-Nie High School in Rockaway Beach from 6:30-8pm.

Plan to attend and learn how you can take steps to be more resilient in the face of natural disasters. There will be sample of grab and go kits, and many great door prizes. I hope you will take a little time to attend one of these sessions, and implement these life-saving strategies which could make all the difference for you and your family when disaster strikes the north coast.
