The first few days of March were busy ones for the Clatsop County Interagency Narcotics Taskforce. On March 1st detectives arrested Amber Marie Lucas, 27, a Seaside transient, on two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine. Detectives previously arrested Lucas on methamphetamine related charges on 02/08/13, in a separate investigation.
On 02/11/13 Lucas was released from the Clatsop County Jail due to overcrowding. Shortly after her release, detectives learned Lucas was again dealing methamphetamine and began an investigation. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Lucas and her vehicle. Seaside Police Officers located and stopped Lucas in her vehicle on North Roosevelt Drive in Seaside. Detectives responded and executed the search warrants. Upon searching, detectives located and seized methamphetamine. Lucas was booked and lodged at the Clatsop County Jail.
On 03/02/13, The Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Seaside Police Department arrested Lashawna Lee Smith DOB: 09/01/83, Transient-Seaside and Timothy Allen Perkins DOB: 04/22/73, 22500 NE 51st Street, Winlock, WA on methamphetamine and heroin related charges. Detectives received information Smith was dealing illegal drugs and began an investigation. Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant and locate Smith in Seaside. Upon execution of the search warrant, detectives located methamphetamine and heroin. Smith was arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Heroin and Unlawful Delivery of Heroin. Smith was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for a Post Prison Violation. Smith was booked and lodged at the Clatsop County Jail.
During the contact with Smith, detectives learned Perkins was en route to Seaside with a delivery of methamphetamine and heroin. Detectives working with the Seaside Police Officers located and contacted Perkins near the Broadway Middle School. Perkins was arrested and charged with Unlawful Delivery of Heroin, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a School and Delivery of Heroin within 1,000 feet of a School. Perkins was booked and lodged at the Clatsop County Jail.
