Oregon turns 154 years old today.  To coincide with the State birthday the Oregon Secretary of State's office has just released a new edition of the Oregon Blue Book that features an online edition.  The Blue Book is a comprehensive reference work that is published every other year and while the traditional print version is available the online version (http://bluebook.state.or.us/default.htm) is attractive and well organized.

If you are looking for something practical like the contact information for various state agencies, or research information on a broad range of topic areas, then the Blue Book is your best resource.  If you would like to learn more about the state then the Blue Book tells that story about Oregon's history and this year's edition adds a focus on the Oregon Coast celebrating the open beaches and offers many pictures of scenic vistas and interesting places to visit.

The online version is available today with the printed version coming available in March.
