Super Bowl Sunday in Seaside turned out to be a busy one for the Seaside Police Department. In addition to the regular scheduled officers, two additional officers participated in the statewide overtime grant for Seatbelt and Driving While Intoxicated enforcement.   Seaside Officers responded to 21 calls for service including 8 disturbances and the recovery a stolen gun.  Officers made a number of arrests including two warrants, a misuse of 911, and a possession of over 4 grams methamphetamine in small baggies packaged for sale with a scale.  Officers conducted 34 traffic stops during the 24 hour period resulting in 4 safety belt violations, 6 speeding violation, a Driving While Intoxicated arrest, two driving while suspended and a careless driving.
