Astoria Police Investigate Thursday Pedestrian Crash

Thursday evening at 6:29 PM Astoria Police Responded to a report of a vehicle/pedestrian crash. They arrived and found Danial Diehm, age 54 an Astoria transient had been struck by a regal coach cab. The cab was driven by Brian Jeppersen, age 35 of Astoria.

Investigation revealed Diehm had been crossing Marine Drive (Hwy 30) at 6th Street. He was walking southbound in a marked crosswalk. He had crossed three lanes when he was struck by the cab.

Diehm was transported by Medix to Columbia Memorial Hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Jeppersen was cited for Failure to Stop and Remain Stopped for a Pedestrian.
