Suspect Dead In Tillamook Murder Case

Oregon State Police say the man suspected of killing a teenage Beaverton girl found near Tillamook killed himself in northern California.

Police say 24-year-old Jacob Allen Green fatally shot himself Saturday in Humboldt County.

He was the suspect in the Friday night shooting of 16-year-old Kayla Ann Hendrickson. Her body was found along Highway 6 about 18 miles east of Tillamook.

Witnesses reported seeing a pickup truck stopped along the highway and a man and woman outside. A trooper responded and found her body.

Green was driving a pickup in California that matched the description.

An investigation by authorities in Oregon and California continues.
