Three people were arrested last Friday on drug-related charges after a search warrant was served at a Newport-area apartment complex. On December 21, 2012 the Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT), with the assistance of the Newport Police Department and Oregon State Police, served a search warrant at 430 NE 5th Street in Newport. During the investigation, LINT detectives learned JESSE MICHAEL LUCKINI, age 35, was selling methamphetamine and prescription narcotics. The search warrant was served at his residence located within a half block of Newport High School.

Subsequent search of the residence and a vehicle led officers to seize methamphetamine, packaging materials, prescription narcotics, a firearm and other evidence.

LUCKINI was arrested at the scene and transported to Lincoln County jail where he was lodged on the following charges:

*     Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a School
*     Manufacturing of  a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a School
*     One count each of Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, Possession of Oxycodone, and Possession of Prescription Narcotics
*     Frequenting/Maintaining a Place where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used

Detectives also arrested at the scene JADE NIKOLE LEISURE, age 22, and TAMMI KAY BROWN, age 45. Both lived at the residence.

LEISURE was lodged at the jail for Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, and Frequenting/Maintaining a Place where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used.

BROWN was lodged at the jail for Frequenting/Maintaining a Place where Controlled Substances are Kept or Used, and Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine.

Assisting LINT at the scene were officers from Newport Police Department, including a K9 unit, and Oregon State Police.  LINT is comprised of members from Oregon State Police, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Newport Police Department, and Lincoln City Police Department.
