A donation from a Tokeland business will keep two police dogs working another year for the Pacific County sheriff's office.
The office says it would have had to discontinue its K9 program without the $2,700 donation from Chief Lighthouse Charlies, a tobacco and gift shop on the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation. The sheriff's office has two four-legged law-enforcers, a drug dog named Simon and a tracking dog named Diesel.
