The Coast Guard has finished public hearings into the sinking of the fishing boat Lady Cecilia in March off the coast of Washington with four people aboard.
A marine construction and salvage company owner testified this week in Warrenton that the 70-foot trawler may have gotten tangled in some errant crab pot lines, listing one way and then capsizing the other when a stabilizing device snapped off.
The vessel was located in September in 460 feet of water and examined by a remotely operated vehicle.
A Coast Guard investigator says a report may be made public next summer.
