The Oregon State Police have confirmed that the the Clatsop County Courthouse was one of 28 different courthouse facilities in Oregon that received bomb threats on Monday in what appears to be a coordinated effort.

Following Monday afternoon's multiple reports of phoned bomb threats directed to several different locations, including 28 courthouse facilities and the Oregon Public Service Building in Salem, the Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Division and Oregon Judicial Department (OJD) are involved in coordinating a review of the threats to determine their connection with reported incidents inside and outside Oregon. OJD is asking Trial Court Administrators to assess operational impacts. Authorities initially reported that 17 county courthouses were targeted in what apparently was a coordinated effort.

State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings says the Oregon Judicial Department did a complete assessment on Tuesday. Twenty-two of the 28 courthouses were evacuated, along with a state office building in Salem that houses the State Police headquarters.  Hastings says it's unclear whether more than one caller was involved. He says state investigators will gather information from each county that received a threat, but it's unclear why certain counties were targeted.

All Oregon counties were targeted except Clackamas, Columbia, Coos, Douglas, Harney, Hood River, Josephine and Linn.

Similar threats were reported this month in Washington and Nebraska.

Anyone with information regarding the bomb threats that were phoned in November 19, 2012 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. is asked to contact their local sheriff's department. None of the calls were directly made to the court but were received by other courthouse employees. OJD confirmed the following courthouse locations were targeted:
