Clatsop County Public Works has issued their weekly update on local projects that might cause some delays if you live or work in the affected areas.  In addition a special project involving the Ziak Bridge reconstruction is expected to begin October 8th.

 

Vegetation Management:

Herbicide application in the Knappa District.

Brush Cutting on Fishhawk Lake Rd from Hwy 202 to Fishhawk Lake. Also, Saddle Mountain Rd from Youngs River Rd to end.

Drainage Maintenance:

Ditching on Saddle Mountain Rd from Youngs River Rd to end. Also, Fishhawk Lake Rd from Hwy 202 to Fishhawk Lake.

Special Projects:

Ziak Bridge Reconstruction/Utility relocation and construction preparation is anticipated to be taking place on 10/08/2012.

Ziak-Gnat Creek Lane will be closed to all through traffic from Knappa Dock Road to Carl Johnson Lane.

The road closure will begin at 8:00 am on Monday; October 8th, 2012 and last until 4:30pm, October 24th, 2012.

This road closure is needed in order to make repairs to the bridge structure located between Knappa Dock Road and Carl Johnson Lane. The bridge deck will be removed as well as the road approaches to the bridge in order to facilitate the needed repairs. Update notifications will be sent out to stakeholders, in the event that there is any change in the length of this closure.
