A fire quickly spreading in downtown Seaside Tuesday morning in the area of Avenue B and Highway 101.  The fire reportedly beginning in Commercial Linen around 9:26am.  The fire quickly becoming a three-alarm fire with a total of 6 area fire departments responding to help control the fire.  The blaze quickly spreading to a total of four buildings including the adjacent Seaside Foods.  The Seaside Foods building soon after experienced a full roof collapse.

Tuesday Fire Destroys Downtown Seaside Businesses

City Manager, Mark Winstanley reported that one firefighting personel was injured and transported to Seaside Providence Hospital.  The fire investigation is continuing.  The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.  

Responding departments included Seaside, Gearhart, Cannon Beach, Hamlet, Lewis Clark and Warrenton.  ODOT and State Police as well as Seaside Police Department helping control traffic on HWY 101 and surronding roads.
