(Astoria, OR) – On a beautiful North coast evening the Astoria Fishermen opened up their 2012 4A Football season with a 52-0 loss to the visiting Gladstone Gladiators at John Warren Field on Friday night. The game got off to a tough start for the Fish as they fumbled on their opening play from scrimmage which set the tone for the evening. Gladstone capitalized to take an early lead and never looked back. The Gladiators opened up a 20-0 lead after the first quarter and a 32-0 advantage at halftime.  Toni Rudolfi led the Astoria defense with 11 tackles. The Fishermen mustered only 137 yards of total offense, including 25 yards rushing.
