At 0510 AM the vehicle slid off the roadway coming to rest in a field near Miller Point in Rosburg Wa. Three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Astoria Police, who had now been joined by Washington State Patrol, interviewed the suspects and learned that they had been involved in several other crimes during the evening. The suspects were lodged by the Washington State Patrol. Additional details will be available as the investigation continues.
Christopher Stineman, age 25, of Astoria,
Chelsea Grogan, age 20, of Gresham,
James Seften, age 25 of Portland who was the driver of the stolen vehicle.
They will likely face charges in both Washington and Oregon. The pursuit travelled approximately 25 miles. As with all pursuits, the Astoria Police Department will review the pursuit to ensure that it is in keeping with the department's pursuit policy.
