On August 22, 2012  the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office received a threats report from a Butte Creek resident that stated a family member was armed with a gun and was threatening to kill him.  The victim was hiding in the dark while talking to Sheriff’s Office dispatchers on his cell phone.  At least one shot was fired by the suspect during the incident.  Deputies quickly responded with the assistance of South Bend and Raymond Police officer’s.  David Phillip Clevenger, age 42 was arrested without incident.  The victim was located shortly after the arrest.  He was transported by Raymond aid to Willapa Harbor Hospital for injuries received when he was assaulted by the suspect.   Clevenger was booked into the Pacific County Jail on Domestic Violence Assault II Charges.  Additional charges may be forthcoming.
